American Precast Refractories is a division of Allied Mineral Products, Inc.  Located in Columbus, Ohio, APR specializes in the design and manufacturing of refractory precast shapes.
APR offers a complete line of shapes utilized in all types of industrial applications outside of the molten metal industry.  Virtually anywhere refractories are used, APR can manufacture precast shapes to fit the application including iron ore processing furnaces, asphalt processing furnaces, waste incineration, bio-incineration, radioactive applications, heat treating & annealing, strip coating furnaces, chemical/molten metal processes, high temperature flooring, powerhouses/boilers, and many others. APR can design and manufacture virtually any shape required in industrial applications.
Allied Mineral Products’, Research & Technology, Product Services, & Application and Design Engineering groups are all an integral part of design and evaluation processes, product selections, and mechanical design of shapes systems.  Working in conjunction with APR, Allied offers an Industrial Product Line featuring TUFFCRETE®, ARMORGUN, GUNCAST, INSULMIX and DURACON.  These products are being utilized in the Industrial Markets via casting, shotcreting, gunning methods and precast refractory shapes.
The Industrial line features excellent physical properties, excellent performance, low rebound, user friendliness with the contractor/installer in mind, and a variety of designed mineralogies ranging from several aluminas, silicon carbide, and AZS.
